What Is an Independent Educational Evaluation?
An Independent Educational Evaluation (IEE) is a comprehensive assessment conducted by a qualified professional not employed by your school district. In New Jersey, parents may request an IEE when they disagree with the district’s evaluation, want a more thorough assessment, or believe their child’s needs were not fully understood by the school. Our IEEs provide a deeper, more accurate picture of a student's learning, behavior, and executive functioning, ensuring that families and Child Study Teams have the information needed to make sound decisions about eligibility, services, and accommodations.
